Orange Tree - some exciting developments this year

I know the new Evolution guitar engine and new guitar library have been discussed here previously but I was just reading this thread on KVR.

Highlights.

Right now we're focusing on the next Evolution guitar engine for this Summer. The new engine will premiere in a new Evolution guitar library, and then be applied to the existing Strawberry and Steel String libraries as a free update for existing owners. After that, we have plans for additional guitar libraries this year.

Will the new engine work with Kontakt 4 or will it need K5? (which I don't own yet)
Still Kontakt 4, since I wanted to maximize the backwards compatibility.

Any chance we'll see a 12-string acoustic, or dare I say an 8 string electric within the year, after you get this one released?
I hope so! The new Evolution engine will make the sampling process a LOT faster, since I don't have to rewrite the script to adapt it.

And on 16th July Greg posted.

 Now that the new engine is pretty much complete, we just started sampling this yesterday...

    Through a convo I had with Greg at KVR back in May, I mentioned that the current version was a bit tough for me to get a good sound/strum pattern as I'm impatient in trying to tweak it to get the sound I want and made a few suggestions to him on the Evolution engine........this is what he said:

    "I know what you mean--that's a lot of the areas that I'm addressing with the latest update, particularly in the way of strumming patterns, setting up the mapping, and changing other settings. Overall, I'm condensing it from many controls to fewer but more powerful controls. There'll still be plenty of customization for power users, but on the surface it should be a lot more approachable than the previous engine."

    There is a photo in the KVR thread - looks like a Stratocaster.

    Sounds like another time proven winner!  I have something in common with the strat as we both started life the same year.

    The strat is only the beginning. :)

    The built-in strumming pattern editor is pretty nice. It's a bit more sophisticated/powerful than the table control that a few other libraries use, but still fast and convenient to work with. There's also a chord voicing editor where you can add custom chord voicings. There are factory presets for that, of course, or you could just use the automatic chord voicings mode.

    P.S. Both existing Strawberry and Steel String guitar libraries will get a free update to the new engine, too.

    By the way, Greg, you have mentioned you worked on a program called "Intuition" that would seem very interesting;
    What about this project ?

    Intuition is still in the works. We have a few other libraries that are almost ready to release as well.
