Orange Tree's Cherry Bass updated

Here is a heads up - Orange Tree have updated Cherry Bass. They Say:

We've completely redesigned the CoreBass Cherry series, combining them into a single, comprehensive virtual bass library, while adding two new articulations and high velocity dynamic samples. Cherry Electric Bass features an entirely new interface and note engine, including a customizable mapping system, a string sympathetic resonance option, and much more.

Hope this means Evolution Electric for K4/5 isn't far behind, although if it's also $99 I may have to pass on it.

Edit: oh, I see now that $99 is the full purchase price and that there is discount pricing for existing customers to upgrade, although the KVR post does not say what the upgrade price will be.

It was only $15 bucks for me as I owned two of the previous CoreBass Cherry packages.  Just loaded it and tried it out...veeeeerrrrry nice!  Kudos (as per usual) to Greg...great job!

And the upgrade is free if you own all three of the original CoreBass Cherry packages, which looks promising for the Evolution updates.

Don't see any gotchas at all for Greg's Cherry Bass.  It used to be three different basses, fingered, slapped and picked but now due to the Kontakt scripting improvments he's rolled all the articulations into one bass thats easy peasy to program in various articulations like "you" the user are comfortable with.  If you want your articulations mapped to velocity changes, say, just pull down the menu, select, set and you're there.  But maybe you'd rather have them keyswitched...no probs...just pick that instead.  Same for midi controllers, etc...  It's very intuitive plus the bass is well sampled and recorded.  Price is right too.  Plus Greg is, IMHO, the kind of company to support...basically a "mom n pop" shop which is customer oriented and who is constantly improving his products and pays great attention to detail.  And if you've got a tech issue or sales question you get to talk directly to the "owner" of the company.  But don't take my dimbulbed word for it...check his stuff out your ownself and see what you think:-)

Any more opinions on this one? There a few more days left on the introductory offer and I am still on the fence.

I figure I have the bottom end reasonably well covered but this looks tasty. I have Orange Tree Jaco and love it.
