After you complete your purchase this morning and pay for it, can you go back today and still add another item and pay for it today before the group buy ends?

Yes, absolutely. We sent out an email that included a discount code for manually adding the group buy discount, if you need it. And bear in mind that although the group buy signup period ends on July 12th, you have until August 1st to complete your group buy order (which includes making multiple orders).

Today is the last day you can sign up for the group buy to get 60% OFF all our sample libraries and bundles right now.

As long as you sign up for even just one library on the group buy page before the signup period ends tomorrow, that will ensure that you're able to access the 60% OFF discount until the group buy officially ends on August 1st.

Head on over to the group buy page for more information:

I still can't decide what to get from OTS. Don't really need anything. I have seventeen real "axes", including 2 basses and loads of preamps, pedals, slides, you name it. Some great virtual keyboard instruments too.

I'm in the same boat Soundwise. I want one of the 6 string acoustics but do I need Evolution Flatpick, Steel strings or Songwriter? They all seem to cover similar ground with slight variations here and there.

I am leaning towards the more mellow sound of the Gibson J-45 Songwriter. Then I look at one of the other demo videos and lean towards those!

Help me out please Greg or someone who has all of them. I am looking for something that will strum and fingerpick well but also be playable as a solo instrument.

Have the Steel String too. Pretty nice as well but I prefer the Songwriter for a somewhat more subdued style. Wouldn’t want to miss any of them, mind you.

If you haven't already exhausted your Orange Tree budget, then do yourself a favor and get the Jumbo 12 acoustic guitar.  Best acoustic in the whole collection!  It's really something.  I'm loving it!

Hasn't the group buy ended? I'd almost bought the Jumbo 12 last week and decided it wasn't in the budget. Then I wavered, only to find that the sale was over.

Would be interested to learn of the Orangetree 12string vs. the Amplesound 12 string, if anyone  has both and can offer an opinion . . .  ?

thanks,
-Tom

I think, on balance I prefer the sound of OTS, its brighter and more 12stringy to my ears. I also prefer the OTS strum engine, YMMV.

Amplesound has Riffer which is capable if sequencing very realistic parts. It's not the easiest thing to master though unless you can really think like a guitarist. There are many preset patterns to get you started.

If you had both, neither would be redundant.

The Jumbo isn't the first 12-string in my collection, either, although I don't have Amplesound's. I haven't spent any time with Jumbo yet but based my experience with previous OTS libraries, most of Greg's acoustic guitars feature better-than-average recording quality - plenty of high end sparkle there if it's a bright sound you're after.

Looking forward to delving into these.
