Ordered a DSI Mopho!
Excited to get my first hardware analog synth! :) Up until this point it's been softsynths... so this should be fun! I'll let you all know when I get it!

I love DSI! I'd love to have one, but just can't afford it!

Analog is cool. It will give you a different texture. Also, try recording it through an amp and mic. @

Also check out the Tetra. It's basically either 4 Mophos or 1 four voice Mopho in a box the same size. It's my only synth, but it's served me well so far and doesn't take much space at all. I typically will send it through my guitar pedals to my 70's VibroChamp and mic that. DI'ing it straight in sounds good if you are doing I guess very dancy type music or something, but getting it into the air and mic'ing it makes for a much more realistic sound, IMO. And provides for a lot more ways to adjust the tonality.

I may have gone for the Tetra but atm, budget would only allow for a Mopho :)

Yeh, I started on a Mopho as well, and later sold it and moved up to a Tetra. Both bought used so the price was lower, and I was able to get back from the Mopho about what I paid for it. One nice thing about the Tetra also is the ability to layer voices for a lot more thickness and richer textures. BTW, I mean to say 'my only synth' up there, not 'my own synth'. Of course it's my own synth, I don't have to share it with my brothers and sisters. Oh the difference a couple letters make.

But you'd share it with me, Dean, if I was there, wouldn't you? ;-)
