Organizing songs, clips

I used a version of CW as a sequencer, back in the 90's. What I liked about it was that I could organize my songs very easily and clearly, into "Intro" and "Verse1" and "Chorus" etc. Different blocks in different colors, etc., move copy sections very quickly and easily. Is there anything similar in current version of Sonar Artist? I'm just learning this, but I can't see anything similar. I suspect that it might have something to do with "clips", but I'm not quite sure what a clip is. (The definition in the "Getting Started" documentation is clear as mud.) Do I need to do something to break a song into "section clips", or when I record something do I automatically have a clip? Any attempt at explanation is welcome, or point me to an explanation in some form. That would be much appreciated!

There is a new feature called "Ripple editing" I'm not up on it yet and haven't had a chance to read about how it works, but I do believe that is what it does, Many have complained about how hard it's been to re arrange songs in Sonar me included. I think I'll do that right now,, lets see how hard it is to find the instructions.
