Original EDM: Mobius

Hey guys,

Here's another track of mine called Mobius. I titled it like that because the track started out as a tribute to one of my all time favorite artists, Moby. But after a few versions and changes, the thing that made it Moby-ish sort of got buried but I kept the title anyway.

Here it is:

I appreciate all comments and criticism.

Thanks for listening!

I liked it...   Lots of cool synth layers coming in and out but the mix is still clean.  The vocoder lines were a nice touch, as were those downward-bend synth hits.

Thank you! Most of the sounds are from my Korg MicroX.

I also plan to add vocals once I muster up enough confidence haha

Way cool. My favorite part are the very solid kick and ticky little cymbal hits. But the filters are working nicely as well.
    No crits, really.

Nice track, lots of layers but you can hear each one doing its things. I can still hear the Moby reference in there and I look forward to hearing the added vocals. Just do it, you be glad you did

Thank you for your very kind words!

I've recorded myself singing and it kinda hurt my ears a bit haha

Dunno. Maybe effects and processing will help.

I think everyone is judgemental about their voice. I sing Tenor in my church choir, when not playing the organ, and I hate the sound of my voice but other members of the choir tell me it's good.

Wow.  Very nice.  I love the ending when the piano kicks in as well.  I can totally hear the Moby influence.  Don't sell yourself short.  I like how it builds a lot.  Very nice.

Hey thanks! Hopefully the song is good enough to stand alone without vocals.

    Very nice indeed Robert

I can only agree with everything that has been said already. Very well balanced piece and nice, clean sounds used throughout.

I spotted that some of your tracks are tagged "Metal" so I just had to check it out.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Yes, to be honest, I'm more of a guitar guy and have dabbled into more metal the past few weeks after a friend gave me his unused 7 string.

I like mixing genres too. One of the tracks there starts out drum and bass then edm + metal. Haha
