"Ouverture" small symphonic poem by Morenoise Remix 9-4

Excellent piece. Sounds pretty convincing. Though I must point out two things that "break the spell" for me:
1. there are way too many highs. Roll off the top end considreably. You would never hear that kind of upper end response on a real orchestra
2. The vibrato on the violin just goes on and on and on...there has to be a way to tame that down, as the real long notes sound fake with such perfect vibrato.
 
What are you using for this?

Hi Rik - Lovely piece. Not sure why, but as soon as I heard the first notes, I 'saw' a ballerina dancing onto the stage. Alone and exhausted, she was lost in a dark, misty landscape. So, all we now need is the music for all the other Acts. No pressure! Handsome Prince on quest. A few passing Swans. She is a Princess but cannot reveal it because of evil spell that will turn her into a frog! Falls in love, tells Prince, becomes frog and is eaten by Swan. Easy! I hate happy endings! Over to you Maestro! Malcolm

You are quite prolific in your studio, don't you?  This is quite beautiful!  Too bad about the RSI, though.  :(  That's one of the touch parts of this addiction.  :(

Hi cwestmont, thanks for listening. I was playing double arpeggio's on the guitar and came up with a nice progression of 15 chords. Played that about five times faster than this though. I used that progression that I was playing on guitar, slowed it way, way, down and used that as the basis for this piece. Added a violin on top, et voilà.

really lovely tune...spot on.

superb overture or whatever. reminded me of the Adagio for Strings, in terms of pace and rhythm mainly. i love the almost whole-tone lead at the start, with its major-minor cadence...a key change thing you do in the piece...only its too f'ing short, what were you thinking! actually the first 30secs is my fave thing, i thought you were gonna go all in for something a bit more challenging...dang! sounds are great for dim le! i think most of those cheap/free samples have a natural pace and range in which they sound great, outside of which they are pants...whereas the expensive VSTis can do both...
