Over Zealous Delete Button?

In my project I have way too many vocal tracks so I'm trying to narrow it down to a few and will put together the best tracks. I have highlighted the tracks I want to delete, but it keeps deleting the lastest tracks I did that are not highlighted. Is there a ghost in the house (besides the 2 "not me ghosts" that we have trying to take over our house/life) that is causing this? I'm stumped.

Thanks.

    Hi Annette

Just to check, are you using the delete button on your keyboard or Edit>Delete and not Ctrl+Z (Undo)?

Are you deleting more than one track at a time?
Are you trying to delete entire tracks, or just clips within a track?

I've tried the TRACKS>DELETE TRACK and also by right clicking the mouse DELETE TRACK. It seems to delete the same number of tracks from the bottom of my project that I have highlighted to delete. I also tried the EDIT>DELETE and it deleted the contents of the track, but not the actual tracks. I've never had this happen before. Something weird has to happen at least once a day to keep me here and entertained!

Thanks for the reply Steve. By the way, I listened to your music the other day and I'm generally not a metal lover, but I really enjoyed your music. Great stuff!

Oh....shucks another user stupidity error....I am the GHOST....maybe I have been looking at it a bit to long. Actually it's the opposite, I haven't used it enough. Anyway, thanks for the responses...I have it down to managable size now.

My only defense is that I've been listening to a screaming teenager trying to get her Dad and I to give her all the answers for her project and learn powerpoint (Open office version) at the same time in French to boot. Last time I checked her Dad and I already passed Grade 8 and we really don't want to do it again! Not while being screamed at anyway.

Sorry, I can't promise it won't happen again.
