Beautiful recording, very "George Harrisonesque." I really enjoyed the song, the performances, and the recording, really top flight across the board.

Geez Tim - your productions are so good. I tried the cdbaby link and it didn't work for me. Are you going to be touring to promote this CD? Can you describe how you put these productions together? Really great. I'm in awe.

This is one of my favorite styles of music I listen: jazz-pop. Very nicely done and beautifully performed.

great tune, great recording and performances. You're on your way, buddy. The last two I heard of yours blew me away. Looks like I'd better go back and listen to more. I agree with Vicente, I love this genre, sound, whatever you call it. If it is on the radio in the car I could drive forever! Oh, edit: This song gives me the same feeling as "Sailing" by Christopher Cross. it doesn't sound like "Sailing" it just gives me that "everything is ok" feeling. Thanks. I think I'll check out your CD, Tim.

Thanks Mark. Glad you like my stuff mate. Hey Robby. Thanks. George Huh? I sort of hear it now that you mention it. Cool.. Thanks Robby. Where's the picture? Hey Geno. Thanks man. Glad you liked it. Ha... touring?? LOL. Um.. No. How I put these productions together? Hmm. I don't think I do anything that is over the top or anything. Start with a good song (that always helps). Play around with some groove ideas, get the drums going, lock in a bass that fits. The groove and/or feel is probably my number one concern and how everything ties together to that end. I don't know how other folks think or produce or their priorities, but, to me, bottom line is usually the foundation. everything else is icing on top of that. then, see if the vocal fits/sits, add some stuff, delete some stuff, do it again, mix. I use a Panasonic DA7 board as a front end. Great pre-amps. I quassi mixed this tune thru the board, with 8 stereo busses. 99.9% of processing is done ITB. most of time everything is ITB. I don't know if that's the kind of info you're looking for. And, I hope it doesn't come off as pompous or something. I'm truly honored by your comments. Got questions? Thanks Bret. LOL.... OK, see above. In all actuality I don't know how it's done. I just do it. Thanks Janet:) Thanks James. Hey Rik. Thanks man. Yea, guitar solo. Had to put somethin in there:) Thanks Vicente. Glad you liked. I didn't know this was "jazz-pop". Thanks for that:) Hey warren. Thanks. I'm "on my way"? I didn't know that. where am I going? should I pack a toothbrush? :) I remember when Chris cross hit the airwaves. Comparing this to that is a real nice comment Warren. I do hope, Everything is OK.. Hey Cian. Thanks. Like I said. There are no secrets that I know of. I have been doing this for most of my life. Maybe that has something to do with something. I'd be delighted to answer any questions. Hey Dirtyharry. Thanks Dirty. Hmm, isn't that the general idea of it all?? :) Thanks Rick. I'm delighted you like the tune. Thanks.

i love the airy feel to this mix. maybe the vocals could be a little more upfront. everything is superbly well played. musically it's a little dated, i guess, but a good song is a good song! you could easily play weddings/hotels etc with songs this good. i never even knew Panasonic makes /used to make recording equipment!

Tim - it sounded like you were picked up by a major label and with producers and team of engineers recording you at various studios in LA. Then you have to start rehearsing for the tour with the band they put together for you. But the fact that you did this by yourself with Sonar is very cool. Maybe the pre-amps on your board are helping to add that professional sound. I think over the last couple years you have developed some serious producer / engineering chops.
