Ozone 7 Users: Windows -7 Stand alone, unable to resize window

I just picked up O-7 standard and while running it stand-alone, I am unable to see the entire application in a window.
There is no window maximize control and no scroll bars; I cannot see the bottom of the application and therefore cannot reach the preset selector.
I noted when I restarted O-7, I get a pop-up dialog for the presets which is OK but how do I get the application to behave as a standard Windows app?

O-7 sounds really good so far, I need it to look good as well.
Thanks, Dave

I don't think it can be resized. If you look at the title bar the min/max buttons are either grayed out or non-existent.

I just checked Ozone 7 on my Windows 10 x64 machine and it sizes correctly and allows access to all of the features. John's right, Ozone 7 standalone doesn't seem to allow resizing or maximizing, only collapsing, which could mean that they use a fixed layout that might have issues with scaling to different display settings (though I might well be wrong on this!) Are you using a non-standard DPI setting, or if in Windows 10, using an app size other than 100%? Some programs don't handle that very well.

From the iZotope web page:
https://www.izotope.com/e...mastering/ozone/specs/

Minimum screen resolution

  • Plug-in: 1,159 x 614
  • Standalone application: 1,166 x 827
The window isn't resizable.

Mine is like yours Kevin. I have my screens at the default settings for wide screens. It shouldn't need to be resized. This is the standalone Ozone 7 Advanced 64 bit.

Yep, mine too, John, Advanced 64 bit as well. Works great on my old HP 22" wide screen at 1680 X 1050 (recommended) pixels.

Guys,

Thanks - I know the window is not resizable because the controls are not there. The point is, they should be there for those who do not have a standard video screen setup such as driving a TV via HDMI at 1080p.

This is UI design 101, an application should never require a certain screen setup when a simple windows control could be added to accommodate more user configurations.

I do not at all disagree with you, scalable GUI is perhaps not 101, but certainly at the 201 level just before internationalization. Unfortunately the Ozone UI is developed by Izotope, not Cakewalk. You might try contacting Izotope support for a possible workaround/fix. Best of luck to you.

Nice thread topic, I wondered about re-sizing as soon as I started running my new Ozone 7 Advanced.
I'm on Win 7, and there is no re-sizing of either the plugin or the standalone versions.
So, are you all saying that Win 10 actually has the resizable window, but just for the plugin version ?
It's VST3, isn't that supposed to be one of the perks of VST3 . . . re-scalable window sizing ?
If only iZotope had a forum like this to complain about it.

Cakewalk by Bandlab, Cubase, RME Babyface Pro, Intel i7 3770K @3.5Ghz, Asus P8Z77-VPro/Thunderbolt, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 250 GB OS SSD, 2TB HDD samples, Win 10 Pro 64 bit, backed up by Macrium Reflect, Novation Impulse 61 Midi Key Controller, Tannoy Active Near Field Monitors, Guitars by Vantage, Gibson, Yamaki and Ovation.
