It should but it doesn't. It's been noted and will hopefully be fixed.

Cool, I noticed this before and didn't bother with a bug report due to how trivial it was

As part of the streamlining process we now get a chance to Specify A Project Name And Directory Every Time we want to use P to set some global preferences before actually starting on a project.

I actually saved mine as a template. I call it "preferences.cwp" and I have it set up for keeping audio in the project folder. (just for good form... I don't have any audio in there)

After I load preferences.cwp I can press "P" and my Preferences dialog pops right up.

    It works pretty good.

Related to the 'I don't want to specify a project name every time I start up' thread, there is a kind of solution to this, which is to go into the Preferences > File > Advanced page and check "On Startup load Normal template' box. This means you can start with a blank slate if you like, without doing anything else, and you can also press P to get to Preferences from there. Or, of course, open a different project, which replaces the blank one, rather than leaving it open.

I really prefer it this way, others might not...

If your "normal.cwt" has several Kontakt libraries and such preloaded in it you may prefer to load it only when you actually intend on using it rather than automatically at start up.

If your "normal.cwt" has several Kontakt libraries and such preloaded in it you may prefer to load it only when you actually intend on using it rather than automatically at start up.

That's true enough I guess. Personally I keep a pretty basic 'normal' template as I'm often not sure exactly what I'm going to do when I fire up, but I guess if you always used those things on new projects... but sometimes wanted to load an existing project and not wait for it to load your complex not-really-blank template... Hmmm. Sounds like a strange way of working to me, but hey, horses for courses I guess. In any case, if you're anything like me, the solution proposed works...
