P5 Vista crash issue
I'm running the latest 2.5 update from the site, and occasionally while I'm working I'll get this really nasty crash bug. I'll be working and do something and P5 will crash, and this is all well and forgivable. The trouble comes that when I restart P5, it says "Project5 is already running." Sure enough I open the task manager and there's Project5, hogging up way too much memory. What really blows is that I can't kill it from the task manager. End Process and End Process Tree do nothing, even after waiting for half an hour for it to die. The only solution I've found is to restart my computer. Has anyone else experienced this? I've done a little research and apparently Vista is super cool and doesn't have complete control over program shutdown, so this bug can happen for many applications. I was working on a project with a deadline a few nights ago and P5 kept crashing, and every time I had to restart. This is a MAJOR buttfactoryish workflow killer and got me very frustrated. Anyone else experience this, and have any possible solutions to the unkillable P5?
Brb, restarting
