P5 has a review in the new Future Music mag

I didn't purchase a copy as I've sent off a check for a sub and knowing my luck, the day after I buy is the day it comes in the post.
Anyway, P5 has a review in the new Future Music mag. This is the US version of the UK mag that's been around for a while.
It also claims to have some loops/sounds for Sonik Synth 2. The cover of the cd bundled with it also states it has SS2 "full version" but I expect they mean the SS2 "free" version.

As someone who buys every issue of the UK version, have I missed something? I don't recall them doing any review of P5v2 and that includes the latest issue which came out a week ago...unless, for some bizarre reason, they don't think the UK readers are worthy of a P5 review.

I could have explained it a little better.
Future Publishing have started a new "US" version of Future Music. Completely different in content to the UK version but the same name.

I hope that they keep the same politically incorrect advertisements in the US version, but I'm relieved to not have to do the currency conversions in my head anymore. I used to read this mag, but the content slowly pushed me away. The samples weren't worth the price of admission anymore, either (IMO).

I'll have to give it another look, but let's face it: Europe has it all over the US in terms of quality music periodicals (as a generality). I can only hope that the American publishers have 'taken a page' from across the Pond in this respect.

I agree. The first copy of FM wasn't bad. I used to subscribe to Comp Music but the cost was so high on import I gave up. There are only so many WAV files I want from a magazine each month.

Ah okay. Usually when publishers do a US version of a UK mag they just remove the UK related ads and keep the content the same. Apparently, SOS magazine has gone one step further and actually sells the cut down (and by 'cut down' I mean all the content is there, the adverts are not) version of their mag to US users for around half the price UK subscribers pay...

    (Edited for clarity)
