PC Tune Up
I recently installed Vista Ultimate (32bit) on a seperate drive for X1 and all is well. (Plese see my sig for specs).
However, when there aren't any applications running, the RAM meter (Advanced System Care Free (ASCF)) is at 49% - 50% and my CPU is at 2-4%. (The numbers increase when I powerup Sonar).
I tested out Sonar X1 using the free Game Boost (ASCF...which claims to shut down unnecessary processes so that your sys resources will be used only for the game you're playing) and noticed (on a new project without anything used) that the RAM goes up 1% in Game Boost mode. So, it's really not beneficial.
Does my OS really use 50% of RAM off the bat or are the numbers just not accurate?
I like to use a lot of VSTi's, so this concerns me....
Are there any tweaks that should be done in Vista or just work around it (freeze synths etc..)?
