PC/Windows - Need Computer Hardware Advice

I am running windows XP. I have an ASUS M4A79 motherboard. Currently using a ZOTAC GeForce (I think) 6800GT.

What I want to do is run three (or more) monitors simultaneously. Preferrably 2 DVI and 1 HDMI.

- Do I need to move to Windows7 to support more than two monitors?
- If I can do this with XP any advice on graphics cards?

HELP !!!

XP will support multiple (up to 10) monitors, but a lot will depend on what you intend to do with the multiple monitors. Just making a bigger desktop is one thing, having different views or windows of an application open in different monitors successfully is more application dependent. Generally if you can have multiple windows open and controllable next to each other on the same screen, you have a chance of keeping that function when you move them to a new monitor under windows.
