Still having some trouble with the chainer in win XP, but the new version does nicely load the P&M plugs. Getting there...
Two problems I'm having are I can't get the chainer to recognize any vst/vsti path. Only the native P&M plugs are recognized.
Second, the parallel vs series mode all seems to be series. Can choose the parallel mode, but the plugs are still chained in series.
Reported these as possible bugs to P&M. Don't know if others are experiencing this.

(edit) duh... No external plugs because there's an error msg about being unable to launch the "Software Activator". Says to try and reinstall, then try again. If I can get it authorized, maybe can pick up other third party plugs.
edit again...
Got the Activator to work. Still will not pick up global vst directories. Will however allow to load third party vst/vsti one by one, after which that selection is saved into the vst or vsti choices. Interesting possible flaw that once again forces me to build up and load only what is usefull and significant.
Another problem however with the series/parallel routing that confirms my su****ion. If you load a synth in series that does not support midi thru, the path is blocked, which would not be the case if there were parallel routing. Definitely a bug. Parallel and series options are both series.
...What the h*** with the auto censur. I said sus****ion, not s***. If I were on a low life racial tirade, would have labeled s*** as a s***. All are God's children unless God is a four letter word now... Testing if "whitey" gets erased. Sometimes wonder where we have devolved to in the complexity of political correctness.
