PM Chainer updated to 1.2

Today we are proud to announce the release of version 1.2 of our P&M Chainer. As always, we have been listening to our clients and have tried to include as many of your requests as possible. Users will now find a VSTi version that makes it much easier to load and use the Chainer as an "instrument" and/or an effect utility. Read more !

Due to the overwhelming success we encountered with the P&M Chainer and the V.I.P. Bundle sold at introductory price of $49 and $99, we decided to keep these up until May 31, 2015 !

Also considering the actual market and the Euro conversion, we decided to reprice both the P&M Chainer and the V.I.P. Bundle to respectively $99 and $199 list prices. These new prices will take effect on June 1, 2015.

The P&M "Chainer" is an amazing utility that can load and chain P&M plug-ins but it can also...... load VST effects and VSTi instruments from any manufacturer into any DAW including Pro Tools ? Waou !

The Chainer is FREE for all REGISTERED P&M Plug-in owners. Therefore, the Chainer will automatically detect any authorised P&M plug-ins, ready to use. They can be chained in series or parallel to save/load presets that can be used in other sessions or even other DAWs. Read More...

It's a fine tool. If you have the VIP bundle, this Chainer is a ... no-brainer ;)

Still having some trouble with the chainer in win XP, but the new version does nicely load the P&M plugs. Getting there...

Two problems I'm having are I can't get the chainer to recognize any vst/vsti path. Only the native P&M plugs are recognized.
Second, the parallel vs series mode all seems to be series. Can choose the parallel mode, but the plugs are still chained in series.

Reported these as possible bugs to P&M. Don't know if others are experiencing this.

(edit)  duh... No external plugs because there's an error msg about being unable to launch the "Software Activator". Says to try and reinstall, then try again. If I can get it authorized, maybe can pick up other third party plugs.

    edit again...

Got the Activator to work. Still will not pick up global vst directories. Will however allow to load third party vst/vsti one by one, after which that selection is saved into the vst or vsti choices. Interesting possible flaw that once again forces me to build up and load only what is usefull and significant.

Another problem however with the series/parallel routing that confirms my su****ion. If you load a synth in series that does not support midi thru, the path is blocked, which would not be the case if there were parallel routing. Definitely a bug. Parallel and series options are both series.

...What the h*** with the auto censur. I said sus****ion, not s***. If I were on a low life racial tirade, would have labeled s*** as a s***. All are God's children unless God is a four letter word now... Testing if "whitey" gets erased. Sometimes wonder where we have devolved to in the complexity of political correctness.
