PRV Colour Settings

Any way of changing the colour settings from the charcoal grey back to the 'excel' style white with black lines? Just noticed this from moving from SPlat to CbB...

Search the forum, there are threads on this and scook was kind enough to supply an answer.

The theme editor has yet to be updated for CbB. The easiest way to get the old PRV colors back in CbB is copy the 2017.10 Platinum TungstenTheme.fth from the program folder (default location C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum) into the "Cakewalk Themes" folder in "Cakewalk Content" (default location is C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Themes). Make sure to change the file extension from .fth to .sth, the user theme extension, so that the theme shows up in preferences. It will appear as the second Tungsten theme in preferences.

thats great...thanks... i'll give it a go but I think a more elegant solution would be a good idea for future updates... i was expecting just to right click on the PRV area and select colour options...

Unless BandLab goes in a different direction, changing CbB colors will require a new theme editor. I just modified the old Tungsten theme using the old Theme editor to change its name to Tungsten Platinum and will have it put in the SONAR Resources and Utilities. It should be there is a couple of days. Hopefully the new theme editor will show up before any changes are needed to it.

It was pretty easy to do as I too disliked the dark theme.
A little differently but same idea.

I opened Preferances/Customization/ Themes  in SPlat and saved the default Tungsten as " My Tung"  using the theme editor.
I then copied that from the Sonar Themes folder to the Cakewalk Themes folder found in Cakewalk Content as scook says above.
I opened CbC and loaded " My Tung"  which now showed in the list in Preferences.
I didn't have to change the file extention as the "My Tung" was already sth.

Of course, because that is the theme extension used by the editor.

The Tungsten Platinum I just created used a similar method. It should be available for download soon (if anyone is in a hurry, here is a direct link to the theme).

Ya, that's what I figured. I'd never used the theme editor before. Pretty straight forward really.
