PRV Filter Doesn't Retain Settings

Is there a trick to getting the PRV filter to retain its settings? I always set up and save a filter to only see MIDI data but when I close and reopen a project, the filter is gone.

Peace!
Daniel

have you tried saving it as a preset in the PRV "Filter" drop down options?

Hi Chuck! Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. It should still be there when I open the project, right? Is there some other setting somewhere I'm overlooking? This may be a moot point with the 04 version coming out. I believe the MIDI only filter option is built in now..

    Peace!

    Verified here also in 2017.10

    Simple Summary:
With 2 PRV open and filtered with saved filters and with locked content and inside of a locked screen set,
After saving the project, and closing Sonar, upon reopening same project,
Sonar will not retain the filtered selection of those 2 PRV windows.
I think it's time to ask for others to reproduce this. Don't you?
FYI I'm on Windows 7 64 bit with 16GB of RAM.

I think it would be nice to know if this is 'functionality as intended'
or a work in progress with eyes on making it better.

Everyone please express your opinion. Thank you!

I can't say if it's intended behaviour or not, but the settings do not persist here.

Sounds like either a bug or some weird implementation decision

Thanks for chiming in on this.

If you want to help more:

Help me be a squeaky wheel about PRV in The Bakery?
We might "get the grease" and get things fixed if we make a lot of noise.
    Thank you!

Saving a Lens helps not either.

Try this (Professional & Platinum only):
    1. Go to PRV > View and select Filter To Selection On Open
    2. Select the tracks you want in the Track List Pane
    3. Save project

Now each time you open it only the selected tracks will show (even tho the above View menu item is no longer checked and only one PRV window will be saved). To show the rest of the tracks just click the Filter button.

Showing Audio Tracks (Professional & Platinum only) is also in the View menu but can't be saved to show each time the project is opened. One has to re-select the option each time.

Auto Lock is also permanently ON by default, which shouldn't be the case.

Thanks soens for the research and report.

I think it would be helpful if we started making noise at The Bakery and made the same reports
in this thread at The Bakery:
