PRV copy and Paste/playback position problems, X1c Producer

I was working in the piano roll view and composing some midi tracks and noticed some problems that I didn't know how to fix.

The first one was that from time to time as I would set the "now" time by clicking in the ruler the playback line would not be in synch between the ruler and the actual pvr display.  What I mean is that the playback line that moves when you hit play would be on measure say 24 but in the pvr just below it the line would be shown in about 4 measures behind (measure 20).  The only way I could get it to go back to normal was to rewind to the beginning of the project and play from there. Then I could click and set the now point.

The other problem is that I mapped the global copy command  to Ctrl-C (It wasn't mapped by default for some reason?).  But when I hit ctrl-c and then paste (ctrl-v) the notes were either not pasted (at least not that I could tell) or at times they would be pasted over the originally copied notes and the original notes would be shifted back in time by about a beat.  It did this no matter where I set the now time and I never got the paste dialoge that asks you where you want to past the data.  I did get the dialog before mapping Ctrl-C if I used the menu but now that does not even work.

Any Suggestions?

Sorry I don't have any screen shots. If it happens again I will post them.

Is this maybe another symptom of AVX problems with Sandybridge CPUs?

I don't think that my laptop is a Sandy Bridge processor. I think it is the version before sandy?

Sorry, I haven't got any other bright ideas for you other than to say both issues are pretty unusual, and therefore probably platform-specific.

Here's the one other instance I can recall of Ctrl-C not working out of the box, and that user resolved it the same way you did - by deliberately keybinding it. Maybe you can PM him, and see if he ever resolved it properly:

Otherwise, if you can reproduce it consistently, you might want to contact Cakewalk tech support.

I presume you are using X1c? This used to happen to me in early versions of X1 but I haven't seen it recently. I could never reproduce it consistently either, so never did file a bug report for it. Graphics card related maybe?
