Me too picked up.  Very nice mastering compressor.  Transparent sound for sure.  Micro Comp is handy as well for tracks and buses.  Great value.  All PSP stuff is excellent.  I have had Xenon for a long time and it is still one of the best limiters on the planet!

Specs i5-2500K 3.3 Ghz - 8 Gb RAM - Win 7 64 bit - ATI Radeon HD6900 Series - RME PCI HDSP9632 - Steinberg Midex 8 Midi interface - Faderport - Studio One V3.5 - iMac 2.5Ghz Core i5 - Sierra 10.12.5 - Focusrite Clarett thunderbolt interface

Me too.
It's a very good clean, master/buss compressor, plus you get an additional channel compressor with the same gui, but with only the basic controls needed for channel compression.

PSP must be swamped with downloads. I am unable to access their web page at the moment.
Will try later.

To point out the obvious, it seems PSP is following Waves lead with these type of sales. Being that I just purchased Xenon, and that was my first full-featured mastering compressor plug-in purchase, I should learn it before buying another. That said, if the well-regarded VintageWarmer 2 sees this kind of price/cut, I'll buy it.

This plugin looks dated. So I went to the PSP site and there is a testimonial for "The 2006 PAR Excellence Winner".  Has this plugin been upgraded since then? No doubt PSP makes excellent plugins, but does it hold up well 12 years later??

I'm almost inclined to think that my money is better spent buying the Scheps Omni and using the NEW compressor off there for "mastering".  I mean, a quick glance and it seems like the Omni has pretty much the same features. (?)  Then there's all the rest of the channel strip too. Don't get me wrong, I like my PSP plugins and am not bashing anyone.  Am I being too simplistic?

The PSP has been updated through the years and has always been, and still is, a very good compressor.
It is at version 1.8.0 now. It was originally released at version 1.0

The Scheps is good too. If you only have money for one plug then get the Scheps.

I'm a "compressor nerd" so I got both the PSP and Scheps.

It may be a plugin designed in the 'early years' but it's still a good plugin. Case in point, Waves C1 is a great comp that I still use. I like the way it works and know it's layout how to use it. Same with CW Sonitus comp. They are still good stuff.

In fact Kjaerhus Vintage 64 is a great mastering plugin. It's only 32 bit and not much in use today. But I bet you can still find some users out there.

Now the choice between SOC and PSP Matering comp? Tough. I'd go for the SOC to be honest.

I decided not to make an impulse purchase because I have too many compressors.
But I want to have a VintageWarmer2.

I really like everything I've gotten from PSP (23 so far)and am very glad to buy Master Comp. The more you buy the bigger the discounts, so I got it for $21. Can't pass that up.....
