PSP N2O

Guys,

I'm about reverbed and echoed out beyond needing anything else, but was still trying to find a credible stereo flange and phase unit. Then ran onto PSP N20.

Not a brand new plugin but had missed out on the old AudioMidi no-brainer for PSP Nitro, and then the N2O replacement for the discontinued Nitro..

Filled my bill for the stereo requirements and a lot more.

This plugin is incredible on a guitar. The envelope filter alone is worth the price of admission.

Not cheap but AudioDeluxe has it for about $124 and they allow educational discounts for students and teachers from their website taking it to just under $75.  Worth every penny.  Running Nitro and N2O in series and getting Led Zep ambiences out of a mexican strat.

Simple serial # for Nitro and an executible license file for N2O.

Noted that N20 license allows access to the archived Nitro as well.

No dongle, no online call response crap. Definitely worth the time to try out the demo.

I have to admit I never tried N2O even though I have it. I'll have to give it a try.

    Bapu,

If you have N20, you have a download right to the predecessor Nitro as well.

N20 is an upgrade from Nitro, but they are two different animals. Each unique and worthy having on the hard drive.

The envelope filer should be of keen interst for any guitarist. Has to be played almost like a secondary instrument, but if adjusted properly, gives the swell surrogate of a real tube amp pressed way over the RMS value. Swell sitar like response.  Only other two units capable of this are AcmeBarGig Headcase and a recent freeware fuzz box. Unfortunately with my old age Altzheimers, can't remember what the other unit was. Will repost if the neurons reconnect and a moment of clarity happens.

    Best,

Meaningless bottom of the bird cage bump, for whatever it may be worth to anyone interested..

About got guitar Nirvana out here on the coast.

Vitamin C compressor into Nomad Liquid Gate to contain the noise rage.

    Into P&M American Tweed.

Into PSP Nitro on the "Gentle Chorus' preset.

Into PSP N20 on the envelope filter with the attack increased a bit.

Into the venerable Sigmund on some custom setting.

If it gets any better than this, please advise.

    Best,

    John

    Fog,

Multiple discount paths on Sigmund not requiring the MFSP. Can be got cheaper and is up there or maybe better that the Timeless 2 golden touchstone. No way taking Timeless off the disc. It's there permanent in my digital lifetime, but Timeless got some severe competition to reign state of the art. Sigmund is dynamite,

Bumping the thread mainly because of the PSP N20 plug. Vast realm of effects, but the envelope filter is a source of relative joy here.

This thing delivers a swell and compression remeniscent of Richie Balckmorer's excellent precision notation with Deep Purple. Killer effect and almost eclipses Ken's HeadCase if you got a pinpoint statement to make.

Good stuff worthy of an audition. Having fun with it here on the savage Oregon coast.

    Love to all,
    John
