PSYN-tology.... Does this ring a bell?

Back in the days of Project5 a user by the name of ‘b rock’ (Tom Brockway), had gone out of his way to write a tutorial about PSYN programming named PSYN-tology.  If ever you read this b rock, I want to say how much I admire your generosity and how much this tutorial is precious.

First, lets talk about PSYNII:

PSYNII's ancester appeard for the first time as plain PSYN in Project 5. Then they upgraded it to PSYNII by adding, if I am not mistaking the effect section on it. But, the sound bank had not been revised and thus, the patches have never been adapted to take advantage of the new Delay/Chorus section. For this reason, PSYNII has allways been considered a plain Jane synth compared to the others which use flashy echoes and reverb as part of the patches. One only needs to insert z3ta+ as a fx plugin at PSYNII's output to understand the true potential of PSYNII's sound engine. I think PSYN is an under used and under rated synth. What is good about PSYNII is that it's archetecture is versatile yet not too complex and if there was a synth in my opinion that would be a good one to learn to program, it would be this one. It offers the right blend of complexity and predictability for some one to wrap their head around and acheive the textures he is looking for...

PSYN-tology: In PSYN-tology, b rock takes us through the step by step process of analysing/creating 18 different complex sounds, using the advanced features of the synth. He wrote PSYN-tology and gave it to the Project5 comunity. But then Project5 was discontinued, and the forum page closed and b rocks PSYN-tology legacy disapeared.

BUT...

I found the PSYN-tology pdf it in my archives :)
