PUGTONES from the vault--BACKSEAT BOOGIE
Mark and I did this song a couple years ago, I think. Since all our new tunes are on the back burner I thought I'd post this one again because it's one of my favorite Pugtone tunes. I hope you like it too. Mark Cline- Music, guitars, percussion Warren Willingham- bass, lyrics and vocals http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11423615 BACKSEAT BOOGIE

Thanks, Kenny!! That is the link I was trying to paste in last night and it wouldn't work. This morning the "link" icon is live, etc. I don't know what was happening last night but thanks a bunch for taking the time to listen and to help. You're a good man!

I remember this one and it still sounds just as good. Maybe better, because things get better with age, you know!! Great jam and vocals. Everything fits together like a glove and had my foot going pretty good. Great stuff. That base guitar sounds to die for Warren and Marks guitar licks bring it all together. Very, very nicely done. Always enjoy hearing the Pugtones play some original tunes. I'm not a critic, I'm a fan. This has a raw live sound to it, those are my favorites. Great tune!!! I really enjoyed hearing this!! Keep on rocking PUGTONES!!!!

clutch tune- guitar tones are simply awesome sound like nice tweed amps ( are they VI or amps ?) also a bit of early Beatles Rickenbacker sound in there even though it sounds like American Strats- nice stereo balance in this; love how guitar starts panned left -- funny, to me, a lot of your music has this ultra-cool Grateful Dead essence going though it -- maybe it's the jams/guitar vamps being traded so nicely back and forth- sweet. seasoned. classic- - Daren

I remember this one. I loved it then and I love it even better now. Mark sure has the guitar lines down and you really got the bass for a great up-tempo, slinky sound. Warren your vocals are timed perfectly and really bring it all together. Absoflippinlutely great stuff!!!

The "play hi-fi and low-fi" would not work. I finally remembered by log in and was able to download it. Great party music! I love the whole thing. My only crit would be to use a walking bass line. That's because I learned to play bass by reading jazz charts. I Excellent work and fun!!!

Yeah, that was fun! As mentioned above the song definitely has a great live vibe to it, so well done on a very effective ITB mix. Also liked the guitar tones - what did you use? And your vocals do remind me of someone, but I still haven't figured out who...

What a blast! Way cool, catchy lyrics, comical. Got this whole 60's rock-a-billy going on, but then that lead guitar kicks in with tones that fast-forward the song to the present. Appropriate, since I suspect backseat boogies are still occurring:) Well done.
