Padsheaven3 for Zebra

Being a roll-yer-own kind of synth user, I'm not one to purchase patch libraries. In total, I've only bought three of them, ever. Two of those were Joseph Hollo's Padsheaven 1 and 2 for Zebra. Volume 3 follows in the same vein, with very musical sounds that will fit into any melodic genre. And a great educational resource if you're wanting to learn to program Zebra yourself. Price is $28.

Thirteen of the 150 patches may be downloaded for free.

The Padsheaven banks are indeed brilliant.  I'm picking up Vol. 3 soon.

I'm curious, bit.  What was the other patch library that you bought?

I'd bought one for Omnisphere, I don't even remember which one it was . Afterward I felt foolish for doing so, because even after using Omnisphere for three years I still haven't explored all the presets that came with it. Adding another 30 patches seemed like a drop in the ocean. It was an impulse buy, like grabbing one of those tiny flashlights they hang at the checkout stand at the grocery store.

Yeah, I expect you're right on this point.  I downloaded the freebie patches from the three libraries and am extremely impressed with the innovative programming this guy seems capable of.  I think I stayed away from considering these sounds because of the "pad" in the name.  Pads I've got aplenty - don't really need more pads.  But there's much more here than pads, and I expect there's soon to be 65 dollar hole in my wallet, since I can't imagine not picking up all three of the Padshaven libraries.

    Good call.

Yeh, me too. Between Omnisphere, Kontakt and hardware synths I've got pads well-covered. I don't use pads all that much anyway, and would almost never think of using Zebra for them. But the Padsheaven collection - despite the name - has some great melodic leads, plucks, basses, bells and percussion.

Everybody should at least grab the freebies.

I remember picking up the moog tribute for Omnisphere, that had some very nice sounds in it.

Or not ... unless you want to insure that you'll subsequently drop 65 bucks on the full set bundle, which I just did.  This is some of the best sound programming I've ever encountered, IMO.  Mr. Hollo is a *very* talented fellow.

And Mr. Hollo just released a preset library for Massive. Introductory price is $24 - send via Paypal to hollojosef@gmail.com - the VAT business has rendered his online store temporary out of service. Prices will go up at some point. Check out the demo tracks here:

The first demo track hadn't even played halfway through and I was headed to Paypal to buy this. Absolutely gorgeous. I've never heard Massive sound to beautiful.
