    Knowing a whole bunch about pan laws and which gear uses which seems most useful when you are trying to finish mixing a multi track project on a different console or DAW than you started mixing it on.

    bottom line is, you still use your ears to get balance.

    I'm thinking in my case need both...my right ear is kinda complaining
