Panning in the daw...pan vs pan send question

I have a guitar track panned hard right on my track fader. .i have the track bussed to a "guitar bus"..i noticed the sound is not actually panned all right unless i pan the pan knob on my "track strip send pan knob" hard right as well...so in otherwords the pan on the track strip does not actually send the sound fully to the right....am i doing something wrong here...i have to turn 2 knobs to get it to where i want it in the stereoscope ?...that dosent seem right to me

    Right-click the send panner and set "Follow Track Pan"

    Hi:)

    @scook

    do you know why this "follow track pan" sometimes is greyed out?

    Thanks,
    Bassman.

    The option is disabled for pre-fader sends

    There is an Aud.ini setting called LinkSendPan to always "Follow Track Pan" when a send is set to post. In Prefernces > File > Configuration File, click the "Edit Config File" button. Search for LinkSendPan and change the value to 1.

    Loud forehead slap! I have been writing automation for sends to follow panning...never noticed the "follow track panning" option! Thanks for this!

    Yes - thanks to Scook, I linked these the other day and audio did follow the panning but I think I remember the graphic knob did not follow, so I was a little mis-lead for a few seconds that the link was working. Can anyone confirm that the graphic knob did not follow the track knob? The visual is useful to me for at a glance understanding where routing is connected.

    Correct - the pan control greys out and can't be adjusted when it's set to follow track pan.
