Panning problem with Sonar 8.31

Hi Everybody!

Lately I have started to experience a strange "phenomenon": using certain VSTi instruments (Proteus, Korg M1, Eastwest Play) sometimes there is a strange panning problem.

It is basically the following: one channel for unknown reasons gets an "overload", and the balance shifts to one (right or left) channel, but the "pan" function is on 0%! But you can see the reduced channel volume on the volume meter.

It is like one channel is very silent or has a reduced volume but the problem is not connected to the driver or to the soundcard, because it is only on certain VSTi tracks. Other VSTi tracks work fine on the same song (project)!

There is no effect or other reason I can think of which can cause this.

Did anybody experience the same problem?

Can it be a hidden MIDI data problem?

Or is it a software bug?

I think I found the problem: I use midi data from Logic and there are hidden midi values which are setting the panning value of the VSTi synths...I deleted all controller data except the velocity and after restarting Sonar the VSTi synths are OK again...

    Sorry for the new thread...
