Party Girl

Hello everyone

This is a song written by my late friend Robert Scott. He asked me a while ago to make my own arrangement of his song and this is what I came up with. The lead is in the works. Another friend, who grew up with Robert, Is going to lay the lead down for it. His name is Jerry Johnstone.

This may sound strange but I wish I never knew Robert personally. I certainly would have known who he was as well as the rest of you. In high school, during the mid 70s, he played at a college opening up for Buddy Rich. Buddy payed him compliments and Robert was listed as one of the best up and coming in Drummer magazine. He got the full ride to Ohio State University. It was at OSU that he was struck with schizophrenia which ended it all for him. Maybe with today's understanding of that illness he could have continued. He was a good soul and I'll miss him.

Anyway, the lead is coming but I still need a vocalist. Mike seems to be a no show anymore so I stopped asking him. Would any of you like to make a go of it?

I hope you enjoy it!

Party Girl

Potential, but lifeless at the present time. Seem to lack energy and feeling and the mood brings me down, had to turn it off. I would redo this and put some soul and feeling into it. Just my opinion, sorry!

As it is yes, it is lifeless. As I said though, it needs the lead and proper vocals combined with more mixing will liven it up. I posted it hoping for someone to offer to add proper vocals.
