Patch/track template/scene changing by MIDI foot controller using Sonar
I am tempted to buy Sonar for my live setup after the Sonar 6 synth rack feature but want to be sure its the right thing for me. My setup goes something like the whole band hooking up to an M-audio 1010LT card. I want to rack up Korg Legacy, Garritan, Kontakt and other soft synths all controlled by one MIDI controller, and NI Battery controlled by a second MIDI controller such as an Alesis DM5 via a M-audio Uno for the drums. I also want to use RTAS VSTs like Rig Kontrol or other real time FX (reverb, EQ)VSTs for the guitars and vocal inputs into the 1010LT. All settings for the above will be a track template, preset or patch or call it whatever. These patches or scenes(as in Brainspawn Forte) will be switched to and fro by a MIDI foot controller. I also want to record all the above in real time not to mention the MIDI events from my Alesis DM5, MIDI keyboard and foot controller. Now my question is…can Sonar do all that? If not, what can?
