Patreon

I just signed up on Patreon to pay $2 a month to support Tahlita Rise, an up coming artist who's "Abandoned Orchid House" is the leading contender for my album of the year. It seems to me these alternate forms of funding are the only way new and independent artists are going to make a living.

I will be interested to see how it progresses. Ominously she tweeted that within 2 hours of launch she was being spammed by people trying to sell her services.

Intel i7 3770K @4.4GHz, 32GB RAM, 240GB SSD System disk, 2 x 2TB and 1 x 1TB (with SSD Cache) HDD. Windows 10,  Sonar Platinum. Roland Quad Capture.

I think a better idea is to put your tunes on YouTube with a link to Amazon where they can buy each tune. I mean, you can put a Patreon link there too, but Patreon seems to work better for people who have something like how-to videos rather than songs. There just seems to be some kind of synergy between how-to videos and Patreon. A lot of people are doing quite well with them.
