Peak detection

Hi, is there a possibility within SONAR X1 to locate or nothing less than find out quickly the highest level peak within an audio track without playing the whole track? Thanks for answers

not to my knowledge, but if i wasnt wanting to play the whole track, id zoom out of the waveform and look at the crests to see where its peaking the highest, and play the file from there to give me indication

Right click in the track header near the peak indicator (top right) and select "Go to peak".

You will need the peak numeric indicator visible though. Select that in TV menu--->Options--->Meter Options

EDIT: AH maybe not 'cos you will have had to play the track at some point for that to work......

Just to add to FBB, this also works for busses. I do sometimes bounce to tracks and then go find the exceptionally loud moments and return to those moments and make some volume fader envelope adjustments. This is a method you can use that's a little faster than playing the whole tune through watching and listening. This is of course, not what you would do on a track you really love and care about, but rather one you just want to get mixed and over-with.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
