Pentagon 1 missing after installing Sonar Producer X2a patch.

I recorded some demos a couple of weeks ago for a future album of an artist friend, and just opened one of the projects. We used Pentagon 1 for two different synth sounds and it's nowhere to be found. Any suggestions on how to get it back? Thanks for any help, still tweaking these demos and was hoping to do final recalls tomorrow.

Pentagon usually requires X2a to be run as administrator.

As Scook says, and if this works you might want to fix it once and for all (so you don't need admin permission when running Sonar), please click here only if you are comfortable with the registry:

I guess I'm confused as to why it worked before the patch and not now. I don't necessarily have a problem with running Sonar as administrator, unless there's some downside I'm unaware of. The studio machine is internet free and is just for music production. How do I tell the system to run X2a as admin? I am the freaking admin, everything is registered to me and I'm the only one who uses the machine. I've noticed this quirk since W7 replaced XP, not a fan of whoever wrote this bit of code.

Right click on the SONAR icon or program, select Properties. On the Compatibility tab check "Run this program as administrator". This is due to the changes made to Windows since the Pentagon program was written.

I tried right clicking and got nothing. Easy fix for now was system restore to undo the patch so I can work. Thanks for the help, will reinstall the patch and try again after I get my recalls done.

Probably the easiest way to explain it (there are other ways) is to right click Sonar in the start menu as per Scook's instructions, once it's working you could create a copy for your task bar.

BTW this is originally a registry permissions issue (registry permissions have been around since Windows NT) where (I believe) Pentagon wrote it's settings to the wrong area of the registry, hence the workarounds supplied.

This is irrelevant.
There is a big difference between running programs "As Administrator" and simply having admin rights.
The only way i could ever get Pentagon to run was to do an advanced install of Sonar, As Administrator and just choosing Pentagon to install
