PerfectSpace Reverb

I'm an Sonar 8.5 Studio user. I make use of reverb quite a lot, and Sonitus isn't quite right for me. I like lush large hall reverbs especially for atmospheric stuff. Is it worth upgrading to Producer to get hold of PerfectSpace reverb? Any opinions welcome.

Is this the reverb only thing in Producer that you'd like to get your hands on?  If so, one alternative to consider is to just buy Pristine Space from Voxengo.  Perfect Space is a less fully featured version of Pristine Space.  Pristine Space can be had for $120.  Most folks here seem to have a pretty good opinion of Voxengo.

If you want  to have dreamy landscapes you don't want a convolution reverb ; they tend to have static tails . They have great "realism " but if you want stereo ear candy "artificial " ( which I consider a misnomer when you consider that loudspeaker music doesn't really match live anyway )  you want to go with an algorythim type ( non-convolution) ..... they modulate the tails for lots of neat movement (Ear Candy BABY!!)

There are a boatload of them out there . This dev is pretty aggressive in that they won many accolaids last year and did'nt rest on there laurels at all!  The 1.1 version ( just relasing ver 1.5)
won ( actually shared with some pretty heavy now-peer .. Ozone4)  the EM   signal processor catagory for editors choice.

I prefer convolution most of the times.  I find I really have to crank down algorithmic reverbs for anything but special effects, and convolution effects (again) I find again better (Canyon Audio.com or Virtuasonic.com).

Aether is a good algorithmic one if I was going to spend the money on one of those.
