Personal Bug List/Feature Request

*Treat each undocked window as it's own separate Explorer window*

REPRO STEPS:

- Open a project that has something docked to the Multidock (browser, console, etc..)
- Undock the Multidock and move it away from the main window (easier to reproduce on a multi monitor setup)
- If you have a second monitor, maximize the Multidock window in the second monitor
- On the main monitor, minimize the primary Sonar window
- Observe the status of the Multidock
- Restore the main Sonar window
- Observe the status of the Multidock

RESULT:

The Multidock window minimizes with the main program and upon restoring the main window, the Multidock is no longer maximized and returns to the original window size state.

Another instance, if you have an additional program open in front of the main Sonar window with the Multidock in the second monitor, clicking on the Multidock window now brings up the main Sonar window in front of whatever program you were working in. Let's say you have a spreadsheet or SFX list you're working in and you're using Sonar's Browser to preview sounds reflected on said sheet. As soon as you click on the Browser, your spreadsheet now goes away.

*Have the Track View UI elements be more consistent*

    REPRO STEPS:

    - Open a project up with some audio/midi tracks
    - Change the view settings dropdown to 'All' (most likely defaults to Custom)
    - Resize (width) the bar between UI and clips to show everything including FX bin and I/O assignments
    - Add a Send to this track
    - Observe the UI elements
    - Resize the bar again and observe

    RESULT:

The UI elements (specifically the I/O assignments and volume/pan/gain sliders, will jumble around depending on the width making a somewhat less than elegant layout.

Propose to make the I/O and sliders resemble the Send assignments: Have the Input and Gain on an element together and the Output and Volume on an element together that are identical in appearance and resize behavior to the sends.

*More Sonar proprietary functions in Media Browser*

    REPRO STEPS:

    - Open a project and have the Media Browser open
    - Move to a folder that contains audio files
    - Right click on an audio file
    - Observe menu

    RESULT:

No Sonar specific handling/processing can occur from the Media Browser window through right-click menus. Propose options such as 'Insert on New Audio Track', 'Open in Loop Construction View', etc..

As it is, this feature serves the same function as Windows Explorer with the only benefit being Auto-Preview (with loop).

*Disable Auto-Preview when multiple audio files selected in Media Browser*

    REPRO STEPS:

    - Open a project and have the Media Browser available
    - Navigate to a folder containing audio files
    - Make sure that Auto-Preview and Loop Preview are enabled from the Media dropdown tab
    - Select several audio files at once
    - Observe the audio

    RESULT:

Multiple audio files playing at once and looping which could results in issues if enough files are selected.

*Media Browser continues to play with Loop Preview turned off*

    REPRO STEPS:

    - Open a project with the Media Browser open
    - Navigate to a folder with audio files
    - Make sure that Auto Preview is selected, but Loop Preview is not
    - Tested this with WDM driver, not had a chance to confirm with ASIO
     * Done in X1c Studio 32 bit*
    - After Auto Preview observe the Transport button in the Media Browser is still lit up and waiting for you to click on it even though the sound has finished
    - Go to the File - Export option in the main Sonar window

    RESULT:

The Auto Preview doesn't stop 'playing'. If your preview buss is the Master Buss, then you will not be able to Export audio until you click the transport button in the Media Browser to stop (or until you remove highlight from the file).
