Phantom automation

Does anyone else ever get phantom automation showing up when you have the lanes collapsed and then when you expand you cant find this mysterious automation?
 
I was switching mix scenes (which I found out I should never do), and somehow I can see automation on my track view that isnt there. Even better is my automation for certain FX doesn't work anymore.

Is there a way to delete these phantom automations?

    Ctrl-click drag to select the automation and then delete special - select automation.

    Could you be more specific? CTRL clicking doesnt do anything and I've never seen "delete special" anywhere.
     
    These automation lines appear on the tracks and busses, but are no where to be found in the automation lanes.

    Ctrl-click the automation in the track to select it, then Edit>Delete Special
