Phew! Finally its all installed.
At last I have finally got everything up and running on my new DAW.
Independence Pro proved the most obstinate. I mistakenly thought I could copy my library files across. You need to reinstall.
Full marks to Magix for response time to a support email. I submitted a query last night, after office hours, and had a response pretty much at the start of business in Germany this morning and the resolution worked fine. However I would not hand out so many marks for the process itself.
If you find yourself needing to install Independence on a new DAW and your DVD's go back to Yellowtools days there a a few hoops to jump through and you have to get your library auth codes off the Best Service web site not Magix.
All in all I think it would be more straight forward to download the library again from your migrated Magix account, however as it a total of 67 files and close on 70GB, like me, most are likely to pick the more involved option of using your original DVDs.
The only other drama was a IK Multimedia license manager problem that mysteriously solved it's self.
Cakewalk's dead easy activation is a pleasure.
Having a lot of Toontrack and NI products I came to appreciate NI's Service Centre, it really does make it easy to activate in one place and ensure you have all the latest patches installed as opposed to the one by one process with Toontrack.
