Phonic Helix FW18 & Sonar

Hi Folks,
I haven't been on here in a while and I hope I can get some insight on which way to go. I'm looking at the Phonic Helix FireWire 18 mixer audio interface as a replacement for my Layla G3 PCI interface, has anyone had any experience with this mixer and Sonar? . I've also looked at the Alesis Firewire Multimix 16, both in the same price range, but the reviews seem to be better on the Phonic. Thanks in advance for your help.
