Physical memory is getting low! I have 24Gb, Windows 7 64-bit!

OK, I just had an awesome DAW built with 24Gb memory and Windows 7 64 bit, and I'm getting the "Physical memory is getting low! Loading more samples might cause problems. Really proceed with loading?" when I try to add just 2 or 3 soft synths.

Here's my basic config: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, Sonar 8.5.3 64 bit, 24Gb RAM.  I'm running some soft synths using jbridge because when I upgraded a lot of them (Elektric, Akoustic pianos, First Call Horns, EZ Drummer, etc.) needed it to run.

Now when I load a tune with only EZ Drummer and Elektric Piano it gives me this error.

Any ideas?

I don't think its Sonar issuing the error message but one of the plugs, I suspect an old 32 bit NI Kontakt player and/or the player for the NI pianos.

NI Elektric, Akoustic pianos players are long in the tooth and NI current recomendation is to use the pianos in Kontakt Player 4.x in place of the original 32 bit player. .

I am not familiar with First Call Horns, but a quick google shows its a instrument for Kontakt Player and came bundled with Kontakt player 2. This should work in the Kontakt Player 4 as well.

The latest Kontakt player is free from the NI website. Its 64 bit so there will be no bridging required.

sonar doesn't care how many samples you load because you're not loading samples into sonar, you're loading samples into EZD or other softsynths like glyn said.  make sure you have the latest updates especially from NI and Toontrack.  they have 64bit updates that you absolutely need for the engine.  softsynths like B4 need j-bridge from what I understand, but there's also no guarentee they'll work correctly in 64bit even with j-bridge.

however, I will disagree with John6528 - I personally do not recommend turning your page file system off.  if you have plenty of RAM then the page file system gets used very minimally, but it still needs to be on for some things for windows.  if you have less RAM it will need to be used more but either way it still needs to be on and still needs some space to operate.  I leave it at default always.

I was saying the same thing. Don't turn it off.
