Piano Roll View aggravation....

I really miss being able to double click a midi track and have the PRV mode come up.  However, what is really unfortunate is that when you do selected PRV, it comes on in the lower window (multi dock I think) and the way it is formatted is not good.  The velocity portion of the window is the largest portion and actual note section is very small.... Every time you choose PRV you have to resize the window and make adjustments.  It does not remember your previous selections as far as layout.  I do a TON of writing in PRV and this is an aggravation.

I wish you could select PRV, a decent size window pops up and everything is layed out nicely.... mayber X1b? maybe?

This was asked and answered elsewhere, but here's how.

Double-click a clip to open the PRV in the multidock (MD). Then maximize the multidock by hitting shift-D. Now D opens and closes the MD (and hence the PRV), but doesn't remove it from the MD. When the MD is closed, you can now double-click any MIDI clip in track view and it will open in the maximized PRV/MD. Use D to close again.

    Cheers, Peter.

    Hey Joey,
PRV will pop up when you double click a midi track.
You can have the PRV docked or undocked, any size you want and the midi track you double click on will appear where ever you left it last.
At least that how it works for me.
Just experiment with it some more.

As I stated in another thread my old problem of the PRV not popping up when a track is double clicked started happening again yesterday and today.  I think it's got to have something to do with working on old Sonar 7, 8 projects.  So,at least for some of us, double clicking works only intermittently.
