Great song Tony. About the only thing that stood out for me were the cymbals being a tad shrill. Outstanding vocal performance.

not sure if this is hip-hop, to me it's pop with a bit of a rap. as ever your vocals are amazing and the tune is great. it all sounds so clean and radio-ready. however, there's something about the whole drum/bass which isn't working for me - maybe a lack of subs? it just sounds...old-fashioned. but hey, thuis ain't my genre or anywhere near it, and technically it is sublime.

Thanks for sharing Tony! It's awesome... just listening to it is like going to mixing school. I really like the chorus... it seems big time... and "radio ready" ;-) all the best, mike

So, I didn't get captured by the first rap because I was thinkin' the whole song would be rap and I wouldn't get to hear you sing. Then you sang and I was happy. Second rap fit better for me bccause of the singing part before it. I am a huge fan of yours. This is different and that's good. Nice lyrics and music. Nice production.

Well, after listening again: - the singing is dreamy
- the raps are playful and fun
- the melody lines are super
- the bgvocals are mixed perfectly
- but there is something about the beatz, especially that snare sound, that are taking me out of the whole groove...not sure what it is.

Thank you everyone :-) James I agree, the snare and the kick don't have enough punch. I'm trying to let my ears cool off before I address the issue. I might give it a week or two of distance before going back in :-/

I just had a thought (1st one of the day) I programmed my drums to sync exactly with the breakbeat sampled I used and the original drummers timing was "sloppy funky". I wonder if the sloppiness in timing is now exaggerated? Ears are too burnt right now to hear it.

Tony, Wasn't crazy about the opening rap, almost didn't get past it but glad I did. What a terrific song, mix and performance. The second rap worked fine, for my taste, because I already knew at that point that it was a cool R & B song and the rap was an almost expected filler if that makes sense. Really spectacular on every level. Regards

Tony, this is very well done. Really catchy chorus. Love the guitar - it blends in so well. Lots of really fine work going on in this tune. Not my favorite of yours, but it sure is a fine production and the lyrics sure are creative.

Hey, Tony, It's great to see you back around on the forum! Very cool, modern hip hop song with excellent R&B style vocals and a fantastic, loud, crisp, and clear mix that sounds radio-ready to me! The vocals and harmonies are truly spectacular, and the song is pure dynamite. Nice work, Tony great stuff! Bob

Nicely done. Radio ready indeed. Listening on these computer speakers didn't hear any drum sound problems. Fun stuff. @

Hey you... where you been? Well, you're back now. Great tune and production, and the vocals, needless to say: classic Tony... whatever comes after perfect! Maybe it's because I know the magic that happens when you sing, but like Mark, I was a little put back by the opening rap... not sure why... didn't happen on the second one. Anyway, welcome back, don't stay away so long and keep 'em coming. Great job, Tony.
