Pinch me; The guitar speaker cabinet I've been waiting for.


Here's my business plan. I'm gonna buy it and get a cabinet response impulse thingy off it then I'm gonna sell it to buy an ad in an influential magazine and make millions selling *cabinet presets* to playas that play guitar through their iPhone. Maybe the iPad too.

    EV speakers are so nice..... highly efficient. 


    I bought a Carvin 100w combo once upon a long time ago. It had the option to upgrade to a 12" EV....which of course I did. 

    That amp was so sweet and so loud. Too loud actually so I ended up selling it to a rocker and bought my Mesa with 30w. 


    In that same band. we had some folded W bass bins which held a pair of 12" speakers. We ripped out the stock speakers, used them in monitor cabinets and installed a pair of 100w 12" EV's with 17 pound magnets on them.  Those puppies shook the floor and we never blew them out or cracked the cones.

    I think Mike is in need of a true hi-gain amp first, especially as he's just involuntarily bought this new cab.

    He might want to see about getting it modded with a couple of ports too.

    I don't think he will get the true benefit of using ARC until he's at least done those things.
