Pismo In Dusk (SECOND new mix - with guitars panned)

Pismo is a small central California coastal town with a population of about 11,000. I started writing and recording this tune in April - about half way through my wife and I went to stay in our place in Pismo for two weeks. I finished this tune today, a few days after getting back from Pismo - couldn't get that place out of my head.

I played everything on this one - the drums are BFD.

So, my new tune is Pismo In Dusk.

Thanks for taking a listen.

Reminds me of driving along Hwy 1 on a warm August night many years ago. Windows rolled down to catch the ocean breeze and singing along with the radio, young and care free.
    Nice tune and well played.

Nice playing on this Mark. Mixwise, I think better separation between the two guitars would improve the clarity. Right now, the guitars are stepping on each other a bit here and there.

Lovely Mark - really moody. Nice composition.
Mixwise, I have to agree with Dan - the guitars seem to be competing. Should be an easy fix though.

Nice mood Mark but as the others have noted better separation of the two guitars would add to the feel.

Beautiful tone and playing.  The lead guitar reverb is very nice but some of the reverb on the drums etc could be cut a bit.  A good listen --

Very cool song.   I definitely get a beach town at dusk vibe from this composition.   Playing is outstanding and really like your chord choices too.

Currently, i like the guitar work, but not so much the tone. It sounds very amp sim like. I'd expect recording it through an amp would be a big improvement. Also there seems to be a lot of clipping.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Nice piece, perfect early morning mood too.  Just love the guitar soloing in this.  So tasty and interesting.

Mix critiques already covered, I love the performances on this one.   The clean lead guitar part with the verb/delay has a great "watery" quality yet still warm and thick.    Just enjoyable to listen to...
