Hi All, little tune I put together as a thank you for a friend, don't know if it's an original  or if I borrowed it from somewhere. Have a listen if you like :

I have sincerely thanked Rik by PM but do so again publicly now.

Rik - your music and musicianship are world class. I am humbled by you writing a piece for me. And as a person who has a reputation of never using one word when fifty will do (!), I can assure you it takes something of real world class to strike ME speechless!

    Your totally dumbfounded friend
    Very Best Regards

Hi Janet, thanks for listening as always.

Hi Malcolm, thanks for the PM, I think Lugh was also pleased it seems, we're promised three days of Summer , makes a difference from the Fall (foul) weather we're having over here.

    Greetings, Rik

Hi Rik - How right you are. Lugh appeared to have such a good time yesterday he has decided to hang around for a few days with the result that temperatures are rising to 20C and even higher (apologies to all those in the US who are currently coping with a real heat  wave)! The whole country has gone into a summer frenzy! Not a square inch of space left on the beaches and ice cream sales have gone berserk. Which of course means torrential rain and gales by Friday. Just another typical English Summer! Fortunately, I much prefer Autumn although I prefer it to not last all year!

    Best Regards
    Malcolm

    Hey Rik
WONDERFUL performance!  Love the verb used to give the mix that space.  If you don't mind me asking what mic did you use. KUDOS!

    Hi John,

Hi Bill, thanks for listening, glad it's right up your street.

Hi Kev, thanks for the kudos, I recorded this on two tracks, one DI and one mic. The mic is a Behringer B-5 with a cardoid capsule at the twelth fret. The mix is about 70% mic and 30% DI. The DI track has all the highs rolled of. The reverb is the wonderful freeware m30 by TC-Electronic.

    Rik,

I'd give almost anything to be able to play as sweet as you do.

    Absolutely beautiful.

That's a nice piece. Really makes me wish I had a nylon stringer to add to the stew.

    Rik,

Great song, playing and tribute.   Listened a few times..... good stuff.

If anyone needs some warmer weather come to Texas, we are on day 42 of temp over 100 this year, another 38 days expected over 100 before fall cools things off.

Excellent job.  Your guitar tone is perfect.  The song is great.  It's been pretty hot out here in the midwest too.

Hi Dean thanks for listening and good luck with that stew

Hi Phil, maybe you should pool your money with Bapu and then I'll tell you my secret.

    Hi Scott, you're welcome.

Hi Mark , thanks for listening, it was a blistering 74 here today, best day of Summer yet and not  even that much rain.

Hi Geno, thanks, that means a lot coming from you. Hope it's not to hot to play guitar.

Hi Steve, thanks for listening, glad you liked it
