Platinum 32 bit crashes with Win 10 not Win 8.1
I upgraded to Win 10 2 months ago. I rarely have to use Platinum 32, except for old projects. But it crashes with Win 10 when I open it. I have it set to open to my template and my template has pretty much max memory with Ivory and Superior drummer - resources show 3.2 gigs of RAM.
This template worked fine with Win 8.1. 32 bit, never crashed upon opening it. Yet Win 10 does 95% of the time. Since I use 64 bit most of the time, I prefer to open to my template and if I change it for 32 bit it affects 64 bit too. They're linked.
If swap my normal template with the default template, 32 bit opens fine and depending on the project after that, they usually open without crashing even with lots of RAM. I’ve been using Ipswich with 32 bit and the other day upgraded both the 32 and 64 bit to the latest and it still crashes.
The Win minidump file shows that my AVB Ultralite driver caused the crash. MOTU seems to always be very slow at fixing things and I reported it. I optimized Win 10 to use less RAM for background services, etc and that doesn't help.
Has anyone else noticed any problems like this with Win 10?
