Platinum (Lexington) stuck in Demo Mode after a reinstall

Hi,

I did a complete reinstall of Platinum (Lexington) following a replacement hard disk. I carried out all the downloading and what-not using the command centre. Once the installs had finished, I fired Platinum up and was presented with it in Demo mode. There is seemingly nothing I can do to shift it from this status! The only thing I have not tried yet is offline activation . . .

When Platinum fires up, I get a message box that says: "Please log into Command Center to check activation status". Given that I am logged in right now (had to be to download the application!), it makes no sense. I tried launching Platinum from the Command Center, rebooting my PC etc. No luck.

Has anyone come across this?

Thanks.

If you haven't already, try starting Sonar with CCC off (maybe even after a reboot to make sure).  CCC shouldn't be on any time you're not using it directly to update something.  It doesn't have to be (shouldn't be) running for Sonar to activate itself (don't ask me how that works).

Hi, thanks for the suggestions . .. tried all of those and still no luck. I have now had a bash at offline activation and that seems to have done the rick. Mind is still boggled, though!
