Platinum or Professional

OK, Im weighing up the options from features and budgets....

Im on X3e Producer.

Ive looked at what Platinum offers and from what I can see the only additional feature from an X3e Producer point of view is Vocal Sync. Can I just upgrade to Professional, is that allowed?

The other issue is all the other features not in Professional like ProChannel stuff that I have in Producer...would that be Un-installed?

I guess if the answer is my only upgrade path is Platinum then that's the end of it.

Confused from Devon...

You can switch from Producer to Professional as shown in the price list. You can keep all the instruments and effects (including PC modules) from Producer and use them in Professional. Things you loose are Pow-R rendering, probably the QuadEQ-FlyOut, and the new Platinum only things like VocalSync and the announced Drum Replacer.

This has been answered in the thread in more detail. I'm also not sure yet whether to go Professional or Platinum.

I purchased Platinum and am very pleased! With it I got (3) AD Paks, with Professional you get (1) AD Pak.  The three AD Paks would cost around $300 to buy from XLN Audio.  (3 paks = (3) Drum Kits + (3) Midi Paks + (3) Kit Pieces)!!! I also got a DEMO of Addictive Keys that has a nice Grand Piano, and it's usable via MIDI.
Plus you have access to the NEW products over the next year. It's only $50 more, I say: Go For It!

Sonar Platinum x64 Lifetime, Windows 10 x64, Intel Quad Core CPU@3.40GHz, 8GB RAM, (2)1.5T Hard Drives, Presonus AudioBox 44VSL, Roland A-500Pro MIDI Controller & lots more stuff

Considering I can pay monthly, I just went with Platinum. The extras were a real selling point, but also the fact that--having gotten used to top-of-the-line--it's hard to go back to the mid-sized car.

As mentioned, you'll keep all the plugins and ProChannel modules. You'll lose POW-r and QuadCurve EQ Zoom. Also, you'll get three more AD2 Kits vs. 1 in Professional.
