Platypus Polyfunk

I did a real YouTube kind of thing and recorded myself playing drums, guitar and bass to an original tune called "Platypus Polyfunk," mainly as a challenge to myself to see if I could play through the whole song without having to go back and fix stuff later. I'm pretty happy with the performances and sound of the recording, but let me know if you have suggestions for my next go around. Thanks!

It's here: http://youtu.be/ooYFthyQwPo

Darren, this song is a winner. The sound you got from your guitar is very spacy and just perfect for this song. All the performances were good, as was the video. Well done.

    All the best,

The drums are recorded very well.  What's your setup?

Pretty wild, Darren.  It's a little repetitive but the engineering and playing is awesome.  Remember this drum mix.  That's how I want my next drum track!  Sounds great.  You are a multi-talented mosnster!

Thanks for the feedback! Warren, I've got that drum mix saved as a track template in Sonar. It seems like I'm only satisfied with my drum sound/mix for a short time because I eventually go back and listen to it later with fresh ears and hear stuff I'd like to change. I guess that's the benefit of working with others to get a good sound.

Drums do sound great, Darren. Maybe a bit more oomph on the kick.

    You are one tasty player.
