Play back button unresponsive

Play back button unresponsive

I have been using Sonar LE sporadically to record audio files. No problem until just recently. When I try to play back a file, I get no response from the playback button. I can fast forward to the end of the track, rewind to the beginning, etc. but just cannot play. When I hit play, the time frame moves about .02 sec. and then stops. This is getting very frustrating and I'm sure I have missed some simple fix. Help please!

    Welcome to the forum.
    Sometimes updates to the computer will knock something out of kilter and sometimes the sound card will lose it's way for unknown reasons.
    Check under Options>Audio that you have your sound card selected as Playback Timing Master (or Device) and it's drivers are selected under the Drivers tab.

    Thank you so much. I can't recall how many times I've checked those audio settings but I must have been chasing my tail and I missed something. I had even uninstalled and reinstalled Sonar. Following your advice did work and I'm back on track. Sandy
