Playback on X3 is only in mono

I have a problem where whenever i playback, the audio comes out in mono. I tried changing the master track and individual tracks from mono to stereo with no results. I have things panned LCR and whenever i bounce a rough draft mix and listen to in my car, its stereo. Its just my DAW that audio is in mono. Any help would be much appreciated.

What kind of system are you listening on for your DAW.  And are you listening to individual tracks or mixdowns.

Are you recording in stereo or are you loading stereo wave files into your audio tracks?  Do(es) the audio track(s) have two wave forms or just one?

    Kind regards, Living Room Rocker

If you see only a single wave form in your audio track, then it is mono.  So you will hear the same sound out of both sides of your monitors/speakers.  If you want to record (a single source such as a keyboard) in stereo then you need two inputs, one for the left side and one for the right, respectively.

Now, if you have only mono audio tracks, then you should be able to pan each to the left or right without hearing both out of the same side (or same speaker).  So, if one mono track is panned hard left, it should only be heard on your left speaker (provide your hardware is set up correctly).  And the same would be true for a second mono track panned hard right.  In this instance you would have stereo output.

Check back if you have more questions.

    Kind regards,

You do not need tracks that are stereo to have a stereo mix. Keep your tracks the way they are. If your tracks are mono, keep them mono, if they are stereo, keep them stereo. do not make a mono track, stereo!

If you are hearing the final mix in mono and not stereo, then you have routing problems. Make sure your master bus'es interleave is stereo and make sure your master bus goes to your Main Outs 1/2. Make sure the Main Outs 1/2 are not muted on one side and/or the left or right channel of the main outs fader is at 0db (unity)
