Please add an "undo, redo, copy, paste" module to the dock
X1 often and needlessly requires two-handed operation for functions that 99% of Windows software only requires a click of the mouse. Please "throw a dogg a bone" and fix this oversight on your part. If not for me, then think of your one-handed computer musicians (I'm sure they're out there). Thanks

Right-Click in the clips pane. Go to Edit. It's all there. One hand operation.

That's very true, but that's no different than selecting from the menu. I would think the purpose of having the dock is to simplify common operations. What's more common than undo, cut, and paste?

I prefer CTRL-X, CTRL-C and CTRL V to any mouse clicking.

daveny5 I prefer CTRL-X, CTRL-C and CTRL V to any mouse clicking. Yes, I often use often use those functions, but sometimes my other hand is occupied [insert joke here]. I'd like have the option to quickly undo a operation such as changing a midi note value, splitting a clip, or quantize without using the other hand. I'm not trying to be critical. The program is extremely versatile, so individuals use it many different ways. That is just harmless tweak that I think would be beneficial. I hope others agree.

I'm also hoping we will see some more Control Bar modules at some point in the future. An "Edit" module like you suggest sounds like a good idea. I'd like to see the ability to have one or two user-defined modules as well.

I'm in total agreement with bsteven. The option to use keyboard short cuts has always been there and although I do use them I would much prefer to have CHOICE!. (What ever happened to good old choice?) I'd say I use the tool bars far more though. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old dockable tool bars and I thought they were always one of cakewalk and sonars great features. The other reason I don't use keyboard short cuts is because the "control" key on my keyboard is dodgy and has to be pushed down really hard before it responds :( Steve

I agree completely... But I also have been using benstat's Sonar Plus (see Scott's link in his message near the top of this thread)... It solves the problem of missing buttons (and a number of other issues)... Totally benign to your Sonar install, and once installed feels like it's part of Sonar anyway.... Even launching it becomes invisible as it has an option to auto-load itself after Sonar loads and you inititate that by using the Sonar Plus icon instead of Sonar itself... I don't even think about those things anymore. I lauch Sonar plus which launches Sonar followed by itself... It then appears as a customizable toolbar... Which I have located in the empty portion of the TV's Menu System... It looks as tho it was always there! ;-) Keni

I'm personally a keyboard shortcut guy, makes things go much faster, but I agree they should put in the option. Everyone works differently, there's no harm in giving the option for people if they want it.

Another vote for the keyboard shortcuts. For ME, Ctrl + Z, Ctrl + Shift + Z, Ctrl + X, Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V, Ctrl + S, Ctrl + A, ctrl + Shift + A etc are all one-handed operations. And if I can do it with my sausage fingers, anyone can.........
